Just what are you looking at right here you're probably wondering? This picture is an anatomical outline of an action hero doing what action heroes do best, taking action.
Basically, this is a rough outline of where everything on the characters body is located and what that character may have on their person or in hand. The lines aid in keeping the sketch symmetrical and aligned while the circles indicate where joints and hands are located. By doing this you're creating a body map that helps you to position the character in the posture that you want, and it makes drawing your picture a little easier because you have a rough idea of where everything is as far as anatomy is concerned. The anatomical outline acts as body map of sorts which aids in the alignment and proportions of the character making the drawing a little easier for the artist. So now that you know what's going on, give it a shot!
ENJOY!
