The BATMAN Court of Owls Saga by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo does not lack in intrigue or action. From secret societies to personal struggles. The storyline grabs ahold of the reader's attention from the very beginning. Bruce Wayne the BATMAN, could he be losing his grip on reality because of his double life? Is the murderous secret society called the Court of Owls an urban myth or are they real? These are some of the themes that show up throughout the storyline that hook the reader. The artwork along with the dialogue work well together painting a picture of Gotham City as a place that is dark and corrupt. When reading the story, you get the feeling that everybody is in on it, whatever it is. The grimy dialogue, the sideways looks, and gestures, is what makes the characters so unique and memorable. The atmosphere in the graphic novel is always dark and foreboding which builds an air of suspense keeping you on edge wondering what's going to happen next. Benjisgraphicreview.com gives the BATMAN: Court of Owls Saga a five-star review. The storyline and the dialogue in combination with the artwork makes this graphic novel a great read!
